Zennio KNX automation

KNX solutions for lighting, climate, shading, access and remote control

A smart building should bring technology, comfort and energy efficiency together in a system that is easy to use every day. Zennio develops KNX devices for controlling lighting, heating, cooling, shading, access and other building functions, while Amplituda designs, programs and integrates these solutions into reliable systems tailored to the user.

From family homes and luxury apartments to hotels, offices and other commercial premises, Zennio enables centralised control without burdening the user with unnecessary technical complexity.

A complete KNX ecosystem

The Zennio range covers a large number of KNX components needed to automate residential, hotel and commercial buildings. It includes touch screens, room controllers, capacitive and mechanical push-buttons, sensors, actuators, climate controllers, DALI devices, energy meters, access control and KNX system components.

Such a range allows the different functions of a space to be designed as a single system. Instead of separate controllers and apps for each installation, the user gets clear, intuitive control from one or more carefully chosen interfaces.

Because the solutions are based on the open KNX standard, Zennio equipment can be combined with compatible devices from other manufacturers. This makes customisation, upgrades and long-term maintenance of the system easier.

All room functions under control

Well-designed automation simplifies everyday tasks. With a single touch you can switch on the lights, set the temperature, raise the blinds and create the desired atmosphere.

A “Leaving” scene can switch off unnecessary lights, turn down the heating or cooling, close the blinds and prepare the system for a period of absence. An “Evening” scene can dim the lighting, set a comfortable temperature and adjust the ambience of the living area.

Presence and light-level sensors enable automatic control based on how a room is actually used. Window contacts can stop the air conditioning while a window is open, and time schedules adapt the operation of the installations to the users’ daily routines.

Automation does not rule out manual control. The user can always change settings using a push-button, a touch screen or a mobile device.

Intuitive touch screens and room controllers

The user interface is the most visible part of a smart system. Zennio develops touch screens and room controllers in various sizes, from compact thermostat panels to larger screens that give a central overview of the installation.

A single screen can control lighting, temperature, blinds, scenes, access and other connected functions. Larger models can serve as the central control point of a home or building, while smaller controllers blend discreetly into individual rooms.

In hotels, a room controller can combine the thermostat, lighting, blinds and hotel scenes. At home, the same interface can provide quick access to the most frequently used functions without opening several apps.

Design tailored to the interior

A smart installation should blend harmoniously into the architecture of the space. Zennio offers capacitive push-buttons, screens, switches and sockets in various versions, colours and configurations.

The functions, symbols and labels of individual push-buttons can be adapted to the specific project. The user immediately understands what each button does, and the control elements become an integral part of the interior design.

Amplituda coordinates the functions and positions of the control elements with the client, the architect, the lighting designer and the interior designer. This ensures, even before the installation work begins, that the technology is functional, logical and aesthetically consistent.

Smart homes with local and remote control

In houses and apartments, a Zennio KNX system can connect lighting, heating, cooling, underfloor heating, blinds, video surveillance, video intercom, access and energy metering.

Zennio Remote enables remote control of supported KNX functions from a mobile device. Depending on how the project is set up, the user can check the system status, change the temperature, control the lighting or activate a scene even when away from home.

Remote control complements local KNX automation but does not replace it. Essential functions are designed to be simple and available on physical control elements in the room.

Zennio solutions for hotels

In hotels, automation has to provide a pleasant experience for guests and efficient oversight for staff at the same time. Zennio makes it possible to connect lighting, air conditioning, curtains, blinds, access, room statuses and technical alarms.

Before a guest arrives, the room can be brought to the desired temperature. When the room is empty, the system can switch to a more economical mode. Opening a window can temporarily stop the air conditioning, while the central system gives staff information on room status and possible technical issues.

Zennio supports integration with numerous hotel PMS and back-office systems. This enables automation of processes related to guest check-in, occupancy status, maintenance and energy management.

The result is better control of the property, less unnecessary equipment operation and a more pleasant experience for the guest.

Office and commercial buildings

In offices, restaurants, shops, educational institutions and other commercial spaces, Zennio KNX enables centralised control of lighting, air conditioning, blinds and access.

DALI integration allows precise control of luminaires, groups and scenes. A space can easily be adapted to working hours, a meeting, a presentation, an event or cleaning. Presence, temperature, humidity and air quality sensors help the system respond to actual conditions.

Central monitoring gives operators a better overview of the installation status and technical alarms, and makes it easier to manage a larger number of rooms or zones.

Energy efficiency in everyday operation

The greatest potential for optimisation often comes from linking several functions. Air conditioning can respond to room occupancy and open windows, lighting to presence and the amount of daylight, and blinds to the position of the sun and the temperature.

Zennio also offers devices for metering electricity, heat and other consumption. The collected data helps the user or facility manager understand where energy is being used and which settings can be further optimised.

The actual result depends on the purpose of the building, the condition of the installations, the quality of the design and the way the building is used. That is why Amplituda does not apply the same template to every project, but tailors the functions to specific needs.

Design a smart space with Zennio and Amplituda

Whether you are planning a smart home, a luxury apartment, a hotel, an office or another commercial building, involving a KNX integrator at an early stage of the project gives you the most freedom and the best result.

A reliable KNX system starts with a good design. The devices have to be chosen correctly, the functions defined, the control concept worked out and the future needs of the building anticipated.

Together with you, Amplituda will define the needs of the space and design a Zennio KNX solution that combines intuitive control, comfort, design, energy efficiency and long-term reliability.
